Our client’s 2019 GMC Sierra was involved in a hail storm. Our client filed a claim with his carrier Liberty Mutual Insurance for the loss. Liberty Mutual issued a loss statement/repair estimate for $9,245.37 before the deductible. Our clients certified collision facility issued a loss statement/repair plan for $35,934.93 to return the GMC to its pre-loss condition. Our client came to us for assistance with the under-indemnification issue and his potential out-of-pocket expense of $26,689.56 to safely return his truck to its pre-loss OEM condition.
As a result of going through the appraisal process in the policy, a binding agreement between the appraisers was reached for $35,934.93 as the loss statement/ repair cost to return our clients 2019 GMC Sierra back to its pre-loss condition.
The final binding agreement between the appraisers identified an under-indemnification of the loss of $26,689.56 from the Liberty Mutual loss statement/repair estimate of $9,245.37. Through the invoking of the Liberty Mutual policy right of appraisal our client has been made whole for his loss with no out-of-pocket expense other than their deductible.
